WitnessOS
Product roadmap

The path from runtime governance to the attestation economy

WitnessOS is not a compliance bolt-on. It is a trust protocol. Every horizon ships real capability, and every capability stays honest about its evidence grade.

E4 anchored evidence is live today · September 2026

Horizon 1 · Shipped

Runtime governance. Prove what an agent did.

This is what WitnessOS does today, in production with Empire Labs' own autonomous fleet and with design partners:

  • E4 anchored evidence receipts: RFC 3161 external timestamps, revocation-verified at issuance, offline re-verifiable
  • Real-time policy enforcement: violations blocked before execution, not logged after
  • Chained, tamper-evident audit trail, independently verifiable
  • Framework-agnostic: any agent that makes HTTP calls
  • Self-hosted on customer infrastructure
  • Gmail and Stripe lanes live, governed end to end

Revenue driver: early-access engagements and design-partner deployments, scaling to self-serve access.

Horizon 2 · Next 6 to 12 months

The connector layer

Any channel. Any financial system. One governance layer. Connectors keep the same policy, approval and evidence pipeline, so every new lane inherits the full evidence ladder.

  • Outlook, Exchange and Microsoft 365 email integration
  • Slack and Teams approval channels
  • SMS and WhatsApp approval flows
  • Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and SAP reconciliation with provable audit
  • Square, PayPal and direct bank payment gateways
  • Digital signatures on every agent action
  • Agent identity: "I am who I say I am, here is my chain"

Revenue driver: platform licensing plus per-connector fees plus enterprise agreements.

Horizon 3 · 12 to 24 months

The trust network

Agents proving themselves to each other, across organisations:

  • Cross-organisation agent collaboration: my agent negotiates with yours
  • Cryptographic dispute resolution: examine the chain
  • Agent reputation: a provable track record earns more autonomy
  • Attestation marketplace: prove agent behaviour to insurers, regulators and partners
  • Regulatory compliance by submission of cryptographic proofs

Revenue driver: network licensing, transaction fees and marketplace.

The vision

Four principles

01

Governance is a competitive advantage

Every organisation deploying agents hits the same trust bottleneck. The first in each vertical to deploy provably governed agents wins on speed, compliance and partner trust.

02

Every connector strengthens every other

Email alone is useful. Email plus payments plus accounting plus approvals is a platform. The value compounds with each new connection.

03

The network is the product

Single-organisation governance earns a subscription. Cross-organisation governance earns a network. The attestation economy earns a marketplace. Each phase feeds the next.

04

Trustworthy agents earn more autonomy

Proof leads to autonomy, autonomy leads to value, value leads to more proof. The network naturally selects for transparency.
